We feel it is important to let you understand how we determine our fees.

The accountancy profession is deregulated and hence, there are no set scales of fees for work undertaken by accounting firms. The market place determines rates and ensures that fees remain competitive. Our fees are based on a reasonable fee-for-time basis. In other words, you pay for the time actually spent completing your work.

At Anthony Curtis & Co we have a great team of people trained to complete any accounting or taxation work you require. We always choose a team member that has the appropriate knowledge and skill level to accurately complete the job at a cost that is most efficient for you. There are times when we will have a graduate or intermediate accountant to do the bulk of the work and then have a manager review their work. We find this is very effective in keeping the costs to a minimum. There is a quality control system in place so you are assured that your work is as accurate as possible before it reaches you. Higher level work will be done by senior accountants and will be charged accordingly.

  • Each team member has a charge out rate based on their knowledge and experience.
  • The hourly charge out rates of the team vary from graduates at $80 to senior accountants/partners $270. Our average rate per hour is around $150.

  • It is difficult for us to accurately quote on jobs as we cannot be certain about the time it may take, we may however be able to provide you with an up-front estimate. In this situation we would then inform you when if we feel the job is going to exceed our original estimate.

  • It is our policy to bill regularly if we are doing regular work for you. This eases cashflow issues for both of us.
  • If we are unable to complete the work required because we are waiting on further information from you, we may produce an interim bill for work done to date.
  • If we are working on a large assignment that will span several months, we may bill you monthly.

  • We operate on 14 day terms from the date of invoice within which our clients must settle their fees.
  • As with any business, collecting our debts is vital to our survival so we do appreciate payment within that time.
  • We offer Eftpos (debit card and MasterCard/Visa). We also accept direct deposit, cash and cheque payments, and can provide clients with further payment options as may be necessary.
